About

A Warm Welcome To Atarah!

Atarah Horizon of Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization established with the goal of improving the lives of children, women, and underserved communities across Nigeria and beyond. The foundation was inspired by the belief that education and healthcare are fundamental rights that should be accessible to all, especially the vulnerable.

Atarah Horizon of Hope was founded by Jessica Edem Miss Akwa Ibom USA (Miss Akisan), the foundation draws on her personal journey and commitment to social change. With the upcoming launch of Akisan Health Hospital, the foundation aims to serve as both a medical and educational resource for the community. The foundation’s core mission is to bridge gaps in education and healthcare, offering sustainable solutions that enable individuals and communities to thrive.

Who we are?

Atarah Horizon of Hope Foundation was established to transform the lives of children, women, and marginalized communities through education, healthcare, and empowerment. The foundation was inspired by the vision of Miss Akwa Ibom USA, also known as Miss Akisan, a passionate advocate who has dedicated her life to service and social impact. Having lived in the United States and worked with various organizations, Miss Akisan became deeply aware of the challenges faced by underserved communities, particularly in Nigeria, and saw the urgent need for holistic support in areas such as education and healthcare.

In response, she founded Atarah Horizon of Hope Foundation as a lasting solution, not only to address immediate needs, but also to lay a strong foundation for sustainable development. The foundation’s core operations focus on providing free education for children in underprivileged communities, free healthcare services for children and pregnant women with special emphasis on gynecological and maternal care, and empowerment initiatives for women, equipping them with resources and opportunities to thrive. Atarah stands as a beacon of hope, committed to building a future where individuals are empowered through education, healthcare, and self-sufficiency.
